Birthday Poem for Lucas
Just in case, you’ve a special need,
I send this cash with words to heed,
An early birthday with poem to read.
Let no day pass without good deed.
Do your part, the chickens feed.
And in the garden just plant a seed,
And when it sprouts just pluck a weed.
Labor hard, won’t hurt to bleed.
Let work and industry be your creed.
You can do it—in your breed.
From gov’ment control you will be freed.
With independence you will succeed.
Thus, what a happy life you’ll lead!
I spoke the truth, you’ll then concede.
