Poetry
I wrote a birthday poem for Sibley at age 18 on May 7, 2020.
Sibley's Turning 18!
Hit me like a freight train.
Sibley's turning 18!
Sweeter girl nowhere.
Want to hug her—like a bear.
Overcame her Sibley-eese.
I understood much more Chineese.
Now down the road she drives.
Behind the wheel she thrives.
From school receives most excellent grades.
At home a powerful working maid.
Only shortcoming seen in her room.
Looks like a bomb exploded KABOOM!
Time for Sibley to make a trip.
See the Pinkstons, take a dip.
Visit Elsa, share a dish,
Stay at Pinto, catch catfish.
Hope you have a day of fun.
Enclosed to assist a little mon.
You're so special, smart, and pretty.
Proud to be your ole Granddiddy.
